#Hybridenergy systems that combine conventional power with #renewable energy or #battery storage are fast becoming the obvious choice for #mines looking to become ‘lean and green’. Paul Buch outlines why mines are making the switch to hybrid energy. https://www.ghd.com/en/about-us/why-mines-are-making-the-switch-to-hybrid-energy.aspx …pic.twitter.com/rbxrknL6BR
I've owned a Chi flat iron and I love this one much better! It heats up in 10 seconds and I like the dial that lights up on the side with the LED lights . You can see temperature settings easily because it's lighted. The ceramic plates on this iron definitely makes this a "one" pass straightener. It also is cylindrical so it curls your hair as well. I have very thick hair so I use the full 450 degrees.
This black, one-inch flatiron might not look like anything extraordinary, but in this case, looks are deceiving. The Best of Beauty winner does everything a really good flatiron should (straighten — duh — defrizz, soften), plus the curved edges of the plates allow you to create beautiful waves and rounded ends with as little as a bend of the wrist.
ghd has dominated the hair market since its launch in 2001. ghd was founded by a top hairstylist in the UK who wanted to retire from the salon but not from the hair industry. Creating products that could be used by both professional hairstylists and the everyday consumer, ghd soon released its cult-classic flat irons, which are still one of the company’s most popular products.
I have had this straightener and used it for about a year now but it is in amazing condition. It is honestly the beat straightener I have ever used and bought it for $250 originally. The only problem it has is about every 5 minutes the light turns red and flashes (shown in photos). It still works and when this happens, all you have to do is unplug it and plug it back in. This is perfect for someone who wants an amazing straightener but can’t afford it.
You're on your way to work with your perfectly styled hair, ready for that big client meeting…and suddenly you're not sure if you remembered to turn off your hair straightener. Cue the mind spiral where you imagine being responsible for your entire apartment building burned to the ground. We admit. it may be a bit dramatic, but it's definitely not a good feeling to start the day with.
I picked the option where it was "sold and shipped by Amazon.com LLC". I had ordered it for my wife and I received this just a few minutes back. She tried registering it on the ghd website. The "Date code" and "Hologram code" are required for registration (required for manufacturer warranty) and this did not have the Hologram at all - the spot where the hologram goes was empty. Also, the sticker on the dryer says "data code" instead of "Date code". My wife has other GHD products which have a "Date code" (not data code) and a hologram sticker with hologram code.

If you lived through this particular time in our world history, then you probably remember the super straight hairstyles that we all sported a time or two (bonus points if you took a photo of yourself like this in your bathroom mirror using a digital camera!). For reasons we may never know for certain, sharp and straight hair was the hairstyle of choice back in the early 2000’s giving the good old hair straightener somewhat of a bad reputation.

There are many alternatives if you are looking for hair straighteners. You can use a tool such as a hair straightening or flat iron, you can try chemical perms and straighteners or you can attempt natural methods. Whether you're looking for permanent hair straightening or just want a treatment such as a serum, there are plenty of options for you to choose from at Walgreens.com.
If you want to achieve sleek, pin-straight hair, a high-quality hair straightener should be in your beauty arsenal. A hair straightener, also known as a flat iron, smooths the follicle of your hair between two heated plates. Some hair straighteners can even do double duty, creating loose waves and curls without the frizz. So how to choose the best hair straightener for you, and get those shampoo commercial-worthy locks? There are several things to consider to make sure you'll get the best style result, but the most important is hair type.
Sure, the drugstore flat iron you used on its highest setting back in the day was clunky and had a tendency to fry your hair if you glanced away for more than a second, and okay fine, your mom probably told you that you looked a little “emo” from time to time. Luckily, those days are long gone and hair straighteners have truly come a long way since the days of The Jersey Shore.
When you are looking for hair straighteners, flat irons are a popular option. Titanium, silver, porcelain and ceramic flat irons offer different degrees of heat and protection for your hair. You can choose how long and wide you want the plates, and whether you want a normal size or mini flat iron for shorter hair or travel. In a big hurry to get out the door? No problem. Choose an instant heat and recovery straightener to speed up your hairstyling routine. Walgreens.com carries popular flat iron brands like Conair and CHI.
I can't believe Amazon would allow one of their trusted sellers to sell fakes. I received mine today and it took about 5 seconds to realize that it was fake. I could not register it on the ghd website, and I came across the information below to help identify fakes. This straightener did not have a reset button on the plug, and had many more of the 'give-aways' that it was a fake! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER.
